We had such a great time at this year's Scale Challenge West at the Kingvale Resort! The weather was perfect and the trails and scenery blew our minds. My dad and i made the trip up in our RV to spend 3 days on site which was around a 10hr drive up 395. The first day we spent driving our Axial SCX10 III CJ7s on the blue, orange, and Vanquish Products trails which were challenging but rewarding. The event took me back to the old 2015 Axial fest event in Cisco with all of the water crossings trails and challenging rock obstacles. This is by far the best location I have RC crawled in the PNW. The second day we ran up to the concourse to show off our fresh built custom SCX10 II Jeep YJs then straight to trails right after. There were a lot of amazing vendors that we were able to stop by and catch up with and delicious food/drinks vendors to have lunch at. The Enlightened RC group brought the heat with an amazingly detailed micro crawler course that we both drove our 24s through including a functional ferris wheel! That night we went out to crawl with the Crawler Addicts, Hobbywing, and My Tric RC and that was such a great run that ended in a demolition derby (I may have instigated it) that resulted in a broken axle shaft... to end off the trip we hiked back to the RV and had an amazing steak dinner and a chill night before needing to pack up and drive back home the following morning. All in all an amazing trip that we hope to be able to go back to next year!!!
Thank you to everyone who helped organize and put on this event!
