The Trail Rat XL is a ground-up redesign of the original 24th scale Trail Rat platform, re-engineered for the best fit, finish, and performance across a wide range of 1/10 scale crawler platforms. Rather than a scaled revision, the chassis has been fully redrawn to optimize geometry, component placement, and overall ease of use.

Designed to work with the majority of 1/10 scale crawler platforms, the Trail Rat XL file set includes five integrated transmission mounting versions to accommodate a wide range of drivetrains, including SCX10 I and II, SCX10 III Basecamp, Capra, Reef’s XPT3, and a blank mount option for custom drilling.

Multiple upper link mounting positions allow for fine tuning wheelbase and suspension geometry, while integrated front and rear rock light mounting tabs provide clean lighting integration. Four flat mounting zones are built into the chassis for electronics placement, especially for ESC and receiver mounting options.

A link-mounted battery tray is included and designed to zip-tie directly to the suspension links, allowing the battery to sit as low as possible for improved center of gravity and stability on trail or in competition.

Body panel DXF templates are included for users who want to fabricate custom panels from a wide range of materials such as carbon fiber, acrylic, and aluminum.

Single user licensing is intended for individual hobbyists and builders who purchase the 3D print files for personal use only. This license allows the buyer to print the files for their own projects, but strictly prohibits selling, sharing, or distributing the printed parts or digital files in any form.

Commercial use licensing is designed for businesses, content creators, and individuals who intend to sell printed parts or use the files in any revenue-generating capacity. This license grants permission to produce and sell physical prints made from the files, while ownership of the original digital design remains with the designer (Robskii Fabrication LLC) and redistribution of the files themselves is not permitted.
